C. Roy Hunter, M.S., C.Ht., is an expert in the field of hypnosis. He was specially selected to carry on the work of a "grand master of hypnotherapy," the late beloved and esteemed Charles Tebbetts. Charles Tebbetts was a master teacher and contributor to the art/science of hypnosis and hypnotherapy; and his protegé, Roy Hunter, is remarkably skilled to carry on his work, as evidenced in this book. Today hypnosis is no longer shrouded in shadows and mystery. Instead, it has been recognized and embraced as a remarkable means of controlling man's greatest gift: the human mind. The human mind has the capabilities of producing a myriad of thoughts, and when under perfect control, it can lead to joyful living and heights of genius. Through this book, you will not only learn about hypnotherapy via the Charles Tebbetts methodology; you will also learn how to avoid being mastered by your mind, and instead will learn how to become a Mastermind! The Art of Hypnosis is a highly-informative and scientific text about an important subject that is gaining increasing recognition daily, and is of personal value to everyone: Hypnotherapy. Through his intensive study and work in the field of hypnosis, Roy Hunter has wonderfully contributed to the profession of hypnotherapy in The Art of Hypnosis, which is well-written, easy to read and understand, even for the novice. In-depth and practical information is given on how to achieve maximum results in a hypnotic session by properly phrasing the suggestions and by using various techniques to determine which approach is best for each individual client. Topics include: - What is hypnosis? - How to induce hypnosis. - How to use the unique state of mind in hypnosis to benefit clients in countless ways. - A complete glossary of hypnosis terms. - Timely updates of important events of the late 1990's at the end of the history chapter. - An addition to the self-hypnosis chapter: - The Peaceful Place Meditation contains a description of a stress relief exercise, along with instructions and a script for successfully mastering this exercise.
